About Dementia
Dementia is a syndrome (a group of related symptoms) associated with an ongoing decline of brain functioning.
There are many different causes of dementia, and many different types.
Symptoms of dementia
Dementia symptoms may include problems with:
- memory loss
- thinking speed
- mental sharpness and quickness
- language, such as using words incorrectly, or trouble speaking
- understanding
- judgement
- mood
- movement
- difficulties doing daily activities

Young Onset Dementia Group
‘Young onset’ dementia is when symptoms develop before the age of 65, usually between 30 to 65 years of age. If this is you or a member of your family or a friend then this new group is here to support you all. They aim to help you navigate , provide advice, share experiences along with chat, laughter and good refreshments.
