Community Midwives

Midwives provide care and advice during pregnancy and after childbirth and will see patients at the clinic by arrangement. Clinics are held on Friday afternoons at Grosvenor Medical Centre but they also see patients at the local Children's Centres. You should see your doctor to confirm pregnancy, who will then organise your antenatal care between the GP, midwife and hospital.

Community Nurses

The District Nursing Team is based at the practice and can offer a wealth of experience and expertise in Home Nursing. They accept referrals from professionals and members of the public.

District nurses can be contacted for advice at 01270 250820  between 08:00 and 17:00 and have an answering machine.

Health Visitors

We work closely with the health visitors who are based in Eagle Bridge Health Centre. Their aims are to promote health and prevent ill health. They monitor the health and development of children and their families. They can usually be contacted between 09:00 and 10:00 on 01270 275593.

Attached Staff

Dieticians provide expert advice about weight reduction and special diets. A dietician attends Grosvenor all day on Tuesdays. The doctor or nurse will arrange an appointment, if appropriate. The Dietician provides individual counselling for many conditions and, if requested, we are willing to arrange group sessions for weight reduction.

The practice has access to full time physiotherapists who are based at the new Eagle Bridge health centre. The doctor will be able to refer you to the physiotherapist when appropriate.
